Student must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher and be enrolled in a three unit manufacturing course before applying. These two scholarships provide funds that do not have to be repaid. Below are descriptions and links to scholarships. You must be a registered student to enroll in a scholarship.
THE GENE HAAS SCHOLARSHIP
The Gene Haas Foundation recognizes that the future of manufacturing in the United States – and around the world – depends directly upon the availability of skilled workers. Expanding the pool of skilled workers hinges on recruiting more young people to pursue careers in manufacturing and creating state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing training programs to ensure that graduating students have the skills necessary when they enter the workforce.
One of the primary goals of the Gene Haas Foundation is to provide financial assistance for students interested in manufacturing-based careers. Gene Haas Scholarship is handled through the college scholarship program. Once you are enrolled in a three unit class you can apply for the scholarship. For more information email jpalma@glendale.edu or call 818-240-1000 Ext. 5561
California Manufacturing Workforce Foundation Scholarship
