Welcome to the Welding Department web page. On the left are links that will direct you to information for the various classes that are offered within the department. There is also information for the certificate, faculty contacts, and a photo gallery of the welding lab.
The Welding department curriculum is formulated and designed to meet the specific needs of both certificate and transfer students. Occupational welding is a two-year program designed to prepare the student for entry into the welding field as a Combination Welder skilled in:
- Metallic Arc
- Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG)
- Flux Cored Wire
- Metal Inert Gas (MIG)
- Plasma Arc Cutting
- Oxy-Fuel Welding
- Cutting and Brazing of common metals.
The emphasis will be on obtaining a welding certification at the completion of the required courses.
Most classes are taught in the afternoon and evening to meet the requirements of working and full-time students. Classes are taught by three part-time instructors six days a week.
Thank you for your interest in the program and feel free to contact me with any questions about the department.
