The purpose of cultural programming at GCC is to engage students, faculty, staff, and administration on the current political and social environment which impacts the campus community and the populations which we serve. The Cultural Diversity Coordinator employs an equity framework to organize programming that aims to be responsive to current events and student needs, organizes events which celebrate diversity, and plans around the cultural calendar recognized by the National Education Association.
The current Cultural Diversity Coordinator for 2019-2020 is Kevin Dimatulac. Kevin also serves as an adjunct counselor for GCC’s Student Equity Learning Communities: Black Scholars, Guardian Scholars and La Comunidad. He can be reached at ext. 5424 and at firstname.lastname@example.org.
