International Student Insurance

At Glendale Community College, we take your well-being seriously. In the US, health insurance is needed to guarantee access to healthcare at all times. Current international students can access quality medical and emotional care at the Student Health Center and are automatically enrolled in our affordable international student insurance plan.

You will find a plan snapshot and information on properly using your insurance plan below. Please download your plan summary or call the insurance company if you need to check if specific procedures will be covered; The GCC Health Center is not responsible for answering questions about your coverage:

Students in the US for Spring 2026 will receive a welcome email from Student Insurance (studentinsurance@robinassist.com) containing your insurance cards, plan and prescription information, and 24/7 customer service information near the start of the term. Please add this email to your safe senders list to ensure you receive it. For a Plan Summary and Snapshot of the coverage please click on the “Downloads” tab from the insurance portal (bottom of the page). Students are encouraged to review the plan detail and watch the Student Insurance Meeting Overview Recording above to learn about how to use your plan. If you need an emergency card before they are issued, contact us at gcciso@glendale.edu

 

Adding Dependents

To add a dependent, you must be enrolled in the plan. Use the "Pay Now" tab in the insurance portal to add a spouse or child by the deadline and select the current term’s coverage. For questions, contact SI using the info on the "Highlight Sheet" accessible in the Portal.

 

OPT Student Enrollment

OPT students can enroll by clicking “Contact Us for a Quote Based on Coverage Period” in the insurance portal. Choose the current term’s coverage. After enrolling, you can add dependents through the portal. For questions, contact SI using the Highlight Sheet inside the Portal. You may enroll yourselves at any time

 

 

Additional International Student Support

Along with free mental health care through your insurance, all GCC students are encouraged to use the Student Health Center. You can also check out Suicide Stop for therapy resources and hotlines by country - many offer chat and email support too!

 

TimelyCare - All GCC students also have access to TimelyCare. Visit timelycare.com/gcc or download the TimelyCare app to register with your GCC Student email address. TimelyCare provides the following free services:

  • MedicalNow - 24/7, on-demand medical care. You can also schedule appointments.
  • TalkNow - 24/7, on-demand emotional support.
  • 12 Mental Health Counseling visits per year.
  • Basic Needs Support - Get connected to free or reduced-cost community resources.
  • 24/7 Self-Care Content such as meditation and yoga sessions, helpful videos, and short articles from experts.
