What is the CVC?
The California Virtual Campus (CVC) allows you to search for and enroll in online courses offered at California Community Colleges. You can also learn more about degrees and certificates offered completely online.
How it works:
All ADT/AA/AS/CTE transfer fully-online courses are offered through the FFO. A student searches for a course, applies to the college, and then takes the online course to 'finish their degree/certificate faster'. If the online course is cross-listed in the OEI, the student does not need to apply to the college in order to take the online course - therefore, 'finishing their degree/certificate even FASTER!'
The GCC Design Academy:
This free, online professional development process is for full and part-time GCC faculty teaching fully online who wish to align their course to the OEI Rubric. The Design Academy combines Peer Online Course Review with the benefits of one-on-one support from an instructional designer and hands-on assistance from an Accessibility Specialist.
Completing the GCC Design Academy and earning a Quality Reviewed “Badge” for your OEI Rubric aligned course will help it rise to the top of the student search results in the FFO and CA students will be able to register for your course without applying to be a GCC student through ExCEL.
Please contact the Lead POCR, Alexa Schumacher (email@example.com) with further questions on course alignment options.
