To provide more flexible options for students receiving refunds, GCC has partnered with Bank Mobile Disbursements to deliver financial aid and other school refunds. Refunds are issued through your selected refund method. Be sure to set up your preference to avoid delays.

1) Go to the BankMobile Refund Selection website. 

  • refundselection.com  

2) Verify Your Information 

  • Select Your School: Glendale Community College 

You may be asked to provide information to identify your student record, such as your GCC Student ID number and other personal information. 

3) Confirm Your Mobile Phone Number 

BankMobile will ask you to confirm the mobile phone number associated with your student record. 

If the number displayed is correct: 

  • Select the number and request a One-Time Passcode (OTP).
  • Enter the OTP sent by text message to continue.

If the number displayed is incorrect, or if no number is available: 

  • Enter your current mobile phone number.
  • You may be required to complete additional identity verification, including submitting a government-issued photo ID and a selfie before proceeding.

Note: Students who do not have a mobile phone capable of receiving text messages will only be eligible to receive refunds by paper check. 

4) Create your profile 

Enter your personal information, including: 

  • Name
  • Email
  • Date of Birth
  • School information 

5) Select Your Refund Preference 

Choose how you would like to receive your financial aid refunds. 

Available options may include: 

  • Deposit to an Existing Account 
  • Deposit to a BankMobile Vibe Checking Account 
  • Paper Check mailed to the address on file with Glendale Community College

6) Keep Your Information Current 

To avoid delays in receiving refunds: 

  • Maintain a current mobile phone number in your student records.
  • Keep your mailing address updated with Glendale Community College.
  • Monitor your email and text messages for important BankMobile notifications.

1) Log in to your BankMobile Disbursements account. 

2) Locate the "Refund" menu option and click "Refund Preferences." 

3) Select "Deposit To An Existing Account" 

  • This allows you to use your own bank account to receive deposits. 

4) Provide Your Bank Account Information 

  • Enter your bank account number and routing number 
  • Ensure that this information is accurate to avoid any issues with the deposit. 

5) Receive Confirmation 

  • After submitting your account information, you should receive an email confirming that your refund preference has been set up. This email will indicate that your deposits will be directed to your existing bank account 

Processing Time: 

  • Once your refund is processed, BankMobile sends the funds to your selected bank account the same business day it receives them from GCC. Most banks post the deposit within 1-2 business days If your account requires verification, your deposit may be delayed until the process is complete. 

1) Log in to your BankMobile Disbursements account. 

2) Locate the "Refund" menu option and click "Refund Preferences." 

3) Select "Open a BankMobile Checking Account" 

  • This allows you to create a new digital-only BankMobile Vibe Checking Account. 

4) Complete the account setup, including personal information and identity verification. 

  • Review all details for accuracy.  

5) Accept the terms and conditions. 

6)  Confirm Your Selection 

  • Once confirmed, your refund will be deposited directly into your new BankMobile Vibe account 

7) Activate Your BankMobile Vibe Debit Card (If Applicable)

  • After your first deposit, you can activate your debit card online or via the BankMobile app. You can also add it to Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, or Samsung Wallet  

Processing Time: 

  • If you open a BankMobile Vibe Checking Account, money is deposited the same business day BankMobile receives the funds from GCC.

1) Log in to your BankMobile Disbursements account. 

2) Locate the "Refund" menu option and click "Refund Preferences." 

3) Select "Paper Check" 

4) Confirm Mailing Address 

  • Address accuracy: To avoid any delays, please ensure your mailing address is up to date in your BankMobile profile AND on your GCC student recordsIf you need to update your mailing address with GCC, please contact the Admissions Office. 

Processing time:  

  • Once disbursements are posted to your student account, a paper check will be issued and mailed to you. Please allow up to 15 business days for delivery. 

Voiding:  

  • If a paper check is not deposited or cashed within 90 days, it becomes void and the refund is returned to your school 

Important

  • Default: If you do not choose a refund preference within 21 days, your refund will be issued as a paper check and mailed to the address we have on file.
