On behalf of the faculty and staff, we congratulate you on this proud achievement! You have reached a significant milestone in your journey at Glendale Community College and we are so proud of your accomplishment. GCC’s Sartoris Field
The information listed below will help you prepare for graduation. Please read it carefully and share with your guests. On the day of the ceremony, please arrive dressed in your cap and gown by 6:00 p.m. at the San Gabriel Plaza to form the procession line. You will need time to pick up your name cards, meet with friends, take pictures, etc. The procession of graduates to Sartoris Field will begin at 6:45 p.m. sharp.
Two identical practices will be held on Wednesday, May 29th in the GCC Auditorium. The practice will take place at both 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Each practice will last for approximately 30 minutes. We strongly recommend that you attend one of the sessions.
Due to the nature of the event, no photographers will be allowed on Sartoris Field during the ceremony. However, all students participating in the ceremony will be professionally photographed on stage and receive a free color proof by mail. There is no obligation on the part of the student to place an order nor is the college responsible if students do not receive a proof. For further information, please check www.gradimages.com.
CAPS AND GOWNS
Starting Monday, April 8, you may purchase your graduation cap and gown for $43.00 plus tax in the ASGCC Bookstore. Various sizes will be available for you to try on in advance. If you believe you will need special sizing for the gown, please contact the Bookstore immediately at (818) 242-1561.
COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY AND RECEPTION
Family and friends are invited to attend the ceremony. No tickets are necessary. You and your guests are also invited to an on-campus reception hosted by the ASGCC immediately following the ceremony.

Included with this letter is a detailed map
to help you and your guests make arrangements for this special occasion. Please read it carefully. You will be more comfortable on the day of graduation if you clearly understand the details that pertain to you.
PARKING FOR DISABLED GUESTS
Disabled parking for drivers with a valid California placard are designated on the campus map along with a “drop off only” zone near Sartoris Field. Shuttle service will also be available from the campus lots to Sartoris Field. If you need additional parking information, please contact the GCC Police Department at (818) 551-5205.
