The Multicultural & Community Engagement Center at Glendale Community College is proud to serve as an official certifying organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award (PVSA).
The President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) is issued by the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation on behalf of the President of the United States to recognize the best in the American spirit, and to encourage all Americans to improve their communities through volunteer service and civic participation.
Awards are given for varying age groups and based on number of service/volunteer hours completed within a 12-month period.
Award Levels Include:
Kids (5-10 Age Group)
Teens (11-15 Age Group)
Young Adult (16-25 Age Group)
Adult (26 and older)
Family and Groups (includes clubs)
Individuals must complete and turn in an application by the specified deadline and must turn in verifiable documentation along with their application.
All recipients will be acknowledged at the end of the academic year during our end-of-the-year ceremony.
