This degree or certificate provides students with the creative and technical skills to create, edit, optimize, and distribute digital content including web graphics, photographic images, and video. Students learn to develop, deploy, and manage web servers and optimize digital content for deployment on client side websites. The program provides the skills required for employment as a Digital Content Creator and Digital Content Manager, while providing skills to support Photographers, Graphic Designers, and Video Editors. 

The Associate of Science degree is granted to students who have completed at least 12 semester units of the required 60-degree applicable semester units at Glendale Community College. The required 60 semester units must include all of the following: (1) Completion of the courses required in the major or area of emphasis with a grade of “C” or better, or a “P” grade. (2) Completion of one of the following general education patterns: GCC General Education Requirements or the California General Education Transfer Curriculum (Cal-GETC) requirements. (3) A minimum GPA of 2.0 in the required 60 semester units.

The Certificate is granted to students who have completed at least 12 semester units of the required courses at Glendale Community College. All courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or better, or a “P” grade.

Program Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of the required coursework the student will be able to design, create, and manage webpages using current software and technology; produce, optimize, and distribute industry-ready image, video and photographic content for the Web and mobile devices; create and manage a client-side Web site and server; create, modify, organize, and upload Web-specific files to a server prepare students for a career as a digital content creator or digital content specialist.
