Verdugo Campus

Two office spaces are available to adjunct instructors on the Verdugo campus: SG 140 in the San Gabriel Building, and SR 236, 239 and 240 on the second floor of the San Rafael Building. Use either one to work between classes and to hold office hours with students.

Both spaces need a door code. Email John Fuhrmann (Adjunct Support Coordinator) at jfuhrman@glendale.edu from your GCC address to get it. Do not share the door code with students. In the past, there have been some issues with students obtaining the door code and using the computers and printer.

These are shared spaces. Keep them quiet and tidy. If you are meeting a large group, or one likely to get noisy, use the Learning Commons in Sierra Vista (SV 132) instead.

San Gabriel Building (SG 140) - computers, printer, conference room, lockers

  • 12 desktop computer stations
  • 1 private office for student conferences
  • 1 printer - light use only, up to 4 pages
  • Several tables and chairs (some instructors bring their own laptops and set up at the tables)
  • Scantron machine
  • Several small lockers

San Rafael Building, 2nd floor (SR 236, 239, 240) - computers, printer, conference rooms, lockers

  • 4 desktop computer stations
  • 3 private offices for student conferences
  • 1 printer - light use only, up to 4 pages
  • Several tables and chairs (some instructors bring their own laptops and set up at the tables)
  • Several small lockers

Reserving a locker (SG and SR)

You can reserve a locker for one semester at a time. To reserve one, email instructionalservices@glendale.edu with:

  • Your name
  • Division
  • Locker number
  • Phone number
  • GCC email address

Empty your locker within one week after the last day of the semester. Anything left after that goes to Lost and Found (818-551-5205, or ext. 5205 from a campus phone).

For SG lockers, bring your own padlock once you are assigned a locker number. SR lockers have electronic codes that you set with a password.

Printer supplies and locking up (SG and SR)

If the office printer needs paper or toner, email instructionalservices@glendale.edu. If you are the last to leave, enter the door code again to lock the door behind you.

Information Technology Services (ITS), LB 113 - work space only, not for office hours

ITS is a place to work between classes, not one of the two adjunct office spaces above. Do not hold office hours or meet students here. ITS is on the first floor of the Library Building, and the door is unlocked during business hours, so no code is needed.

  • 6 desktop computer stations
  • 1 printer
  • Scantron machine

Garfield Campus

Two work spaces are open to adjunct instructors on the Garfield campus. Both should be unlocked during business hours, and access is arranged in the building rather than through the Adjunct Support Coordinator. These are shared spaces. Keep them quiet and tidy.

Mariposa Building (MP 227A) - tables, couches, power outlets

  • Tables and chairs
  • Couches
  • Electrical outlets for devices
  • If the door is locked, ask a custodian to open it

Tropico Building (TR 202) - computer, printer, tables

  • Computer and printer
  • Tables and chairs
  • Door code required - ask a staff member in the building
