Making a Bequest in Your Will is Simple 

Below is sample language for adding a codicil to an existing will. 

Points to Remember:

  • Review your wishes with an attorney and/or financial advisor before making changes in your will or trust.
  • Use Glendale College Foundation Inc.'s legal name: ("I give and bequest to Glendale College Foundation, Inc.")

Suggested Language:

This codicil to my will dated [insert date of will].

I give and bequest the sum of $ [insert dollar amount] 1or) the following desribed property [insert property description] (or) [insert percentage]% of my estate2 to Glendale College Foundation, Inc.

In all other respects, I confirm my said will: 

Signed: [insert signature]

Dated: [insert date]

Witnessed by: [insert witness' name]
