The Business Division Internship program is for Glendale Community College Business Division Students who have completed
two or more courses here at the college and seek an internship for the advancement
of their degree or certificate.

PLEASE NOTE:
(A) Your internship must be relevant to the BUSINESS or MOA or CABOT Certificate/Degree you are receiving at GCC. For example if you are working towards a Human Resources
Assistant Certificate, your internship must be with a professional Human Resources
office or related work environment.
(B) Only Glendale Community College business students are eligible to enroll in BUSAD
50 for Internship credit.
(C) GCC Business Students are eligible to enroll and complete the course only once.
(D) Before your internship begins, you will need to find an internship. You may search on the GCC student Online Job
Board: www.collegecentral.com/glendale .

Enrollment Process
1) Business Division students should enroll in BUSAD 50.
2) MUST attend orientation or will be dropped.
*If you cannot attend the Orientation, you must email the instructor in advance and
schedule an individual meeting.

At the Orientation, be prepared to review all documents for the course. The course
will be published in Canvas for you to have prior access to all materials. Please
sign in to your Canvas course and review the timeline.
The following will be needed and discussed during the orientation:
a. Your Major/Certificate at GCC.
b. Name of Company you will be Interning at.
c. Name of Company Supervisor you will be reporting to.
d. Phone/email address of Supervisor.
e. Business Card/website of the organization.
f. Number of credit hours you plan to attain.
g. Fill Out the following forms: (downloadable below)
i. Student Internship Application
ii. Internship Learning Objectives*
iii. Internship Agreement
These three (3) documents need to be filled out and signed by the immediate supervisor/authority
of the organization to be added to the course immediately.
*Remember that learning objectives are not a listing of your job description, but
the knowledge and skills you hope to gain during your Internship and they must be
reviewed by the supervisor that will provide the training.
