The Welding department curriculum is formulated and designed to meet the specific needs of both certificate and transfer students. The emphasis will be on obtaining a welding certification at the completion of the required courses. Occupational welding is a two-year program designed to prepare the student for entry into the welding field as a Combination Welder skilled in:

  • Metallic Arc
  • Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG)
  • Flux Cored Wire
  • Metal Inert Gas (MIG)
  • Plasma Arc Cutting
  • Oxy-Fuel Welding
  • Cutting and Brazing of common metals.

Most classes are taught in the afternoon and evening to meet the requirements of working and full-time students.
