ROBERT KIBLER PORTFOLIO

Robert Kibler is a ceramic artist who founded the ceramic department at Glendale Community College as a full time faculty member in 1976. After retirement in 2008, he has continued as an adjunct instructor in the department. Originally wanting to be a medical doctor, he received Bachelor's degrees in Biology and Chemistry, but after taking a ceramics class at UCSD, just for fun, he promptly switched majors, got his Master's in Art and Ceramics, and became a working potter. His work has been featured in numerous national and international exhibitions and one man exhibitions at the Garth Clark Galleries in New York and Los Angeles. His work in included in the collections of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Betty Asher Collection, the Everson Museum of Art, the Long Beach Museum of Art and in private collections internationally. He currently maintains a studio at his home in the hills of Echo Park.
