Process For Receiving Credit in Articulated Classes

 

Step 1: Apply To GCC

High School Teacher: Direct students to Glendale Community College Applications

Step 2: Submit Request for College Credit Consideration Form

After students receive GCC ID:

  • Student must complete the following google form: Request for College Credit Consideration (2026-2027 form Coming Soon)
  • Deadline: April 2nd, 2027 for the 2026-2027 Academic Year

Step 3: High School Teachers Submit Grades To GCC

Grades are submitted to GCC by High School teacher
  • High School teachers submit grades to GCC of the students that completed the Request for College Credit Consideration form.
  • Note: Completion of GCC’s application and submission of the ‘Request for Articulation Credit’ form are required from high school students seeking college credit. Students need a “B” or higher in the yearlong high school course for it to count towards college credit
  • Deadline to submit grades: May 28th, 2027, late submissions accepted June 12th, 2026. Note that if we do not receive grades for students by this deadline, GCC is unable to post credit for students via this process. Please email ngonzalez@glendale.edu with any questions.

 

Step 4: GCC Admissions and Records Post Credit

High School Articulation FAQ's

Where does high school articulated credit transfer to? 

High School Articulated credit can be used towards a CTE Certificate or to meet general education requirements and/or units needed for an Associate Degree, or transfer to a four-year college or university.  

As each institution is different and may have different requirements, you should want to check with the college you are attending to find out how you can use your articulation credit. 

 *Please note it is up to the receiving institution to accept or deny articulated credit
