Kimberly Bowman

Since joining Glendale Community College in 2022 as a part-time faculty member, I have taught Intermediate Conversation, Intermediate Conversation for Employment, American Idioms and Slang for Work, and Advanced Conversation for Employment.

I have over 25 years of administrative and management experience across various industries, including medicine, law, and graphic design. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Illinois at Springfield and a Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the University of Southern California.

My classes emphasize practical applications and foster an engaging environment where students can thrive as they improve their language proficiency and increase their cultural knowledge. My goal is to guide GCC students as they refine their communication skills for professional success.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband, traveling, learning languages, wine tasting and collecting, watercolor painting, Broadway musicals, and video games.
