Michael Davis

Greetings! My name is Mike Davis, and I am the activity director for GCC’s Title V Adelante GCC grant that collaborates with the Office of Hispanic-Serving Initiatives. While I’m on special assignment with the grant, I normally teach mathematics at GCC and am also the 1st Vice President of the Academic Senate. My favorite thing about teaching is getting to interact with students and being able to provide a positive and welcoming learning environment where all students are comfortable making mistakes and talking about math. I’m passionate about working on grant projects because I can work towards dismantling barriers that students face when entering a college environment. I’ve also been part of the GCC Pride Week planning committee for the last three years and help organize the GCC Pride Alliance that helps advocate for our LGBTQ+ students and employees.
