I have had the privilege of teaching ESL to adult students for twenty-two years. I love my job and never get tired of creating new and interesting ways to help my students learn and practice their English.

I received my B.A. in English Language Studies from San Francisco State University and my M.A. in Linguistics with a concentration in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from California State University, Northridge.

Before joining the Noncredit ESL faculty at GCC, I worked at several schools in the Los Angeles area, including Los Angeles Valley College as a credit ESL instructor and Kennedy-San Fernando Community Adult School as a tenured teacher and teacher advisor.

At GCC, I have served as a conversation level leader, conducted new teacher orientations, and led Conversation Café sessions at the Verdugo Campus. Currently, I have been collaborating with the Disabled Student Program and Services at the Garfield Campus to design staff development on inclusive ESL teaching practices.

When I am not teaching, I like to spend time with my family, read, go to museums and have coffee with my friends.
