Arevik Mikaelian

Biography:

Arevik Mikaelian, Associate Professor of Armenian, has been pleased to be employed at Glendale College since 2006. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Armenian Language and her Master's Degree in Armenian Literature from Yerevan State University, with an emphasis on Literary Criticism; her thesis focused on the 20th Century Armenian Poet Yeghishe Charents' collection "Book of the Road." Though her specialty is Armenian, she speaks Russian fluently and enjoys studying other languages. She also greatly appreciates literature and enjoys reading. She feels privileged to teach her native language and its ancient and modern culture to students, to be able to communicate her knowledge to them.
