James Poyner

Jim Poyner was born in Long Branch, New Jersey. He moved to Burbank, California during high school, graduating from Burbank High School. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree (in Speech) from California State University, Los Angeles and received his Master’s Degree from The American Conservatory in San Francisco, California. Following his graduation from college, Mr. Poyner spent four years in New York City, where he appeared on the daytime television series, “Another World” for N.B.C. television; his role on the show was as Dennis Carrington. In addition to his responsibilities at Glendale College, Mr. Poyner also teaches at La Salle High School in Pasadena, California. He is an avid John Steinbeck fan.
