Hello! My name is Johanna Quintanilla. Besides teaching for the Summer Bridge program, I am also a counselor for the Student Equity learning communities. I earned my B.A. in Child and Adolescent Development and my M.S. in Counseling (College Counseling/Student Services) from California State University, Northridge. I was born and raised in Los Angeles and am the oldest of three siblings. I was a first-generation student with parents who immigrated to the U.S. from El Salvador and Guatemala. I am a HUGE Harry Potter freak. I love to smile. I love to learn, and I strive to always keep educating myself, especially in social justice matters. I love what I do, because I love helping students succeed in reaching their educational, career, and personal goals!
