I am a: mother, teacher, runner, seeker, among other things…. What I seek defines me:

a way to build a sustainable and resilient society founded in cooperation and compassionate curiosity

a deeper knowledge about the world and our place in it

satisfying musical endeavors

my daily DOSE of the essential neurotransmitters (dopamine, oxytocin, seratonin, and endorphins)

a way to improve myself and the way I live

friends who will help me learn and grow in this journey through life

I have a B.A. in Latin American Studies from University of Texas - Austin

I also hold an M.S. in Geology from California State University - Los Angeles, which I earned after returning to school and completing most of my science requirements at Austin Community College.

I also spent a stint at University of Illinois - Urbana-Champaign studying Natural Resources & Enc. Sci.

I am a Professional Geologist in the State of California and have worked as a consulting geologist amid myriad other odd jobs. I will never stop learning. The day I do, it will be time to say goodbye.

I cannot wait to get back in to the classroom and in to the field!

When not Zooming, I can be found SCUBA diving, running, practicing yoga, reading, surfing, combing the beach, or just hanging out with family playing board games.
