Priscilla Rubio

Hello! My name is Priscilla Rubio, and I am a Counselor/Instructor for the Student Equity department. I am a first-generation Latina from the Central Valley city of Bakersfield, CA. I earned my Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from UCLA where I majored in Sociology and Chicano/a Studies and minored in Education Studies, and I earned my Master's degree (M.Ed.) from USC where I studied Educational Counseling. Fun fact about me: I love to travel and be outdoors (I have been to over 30 U.S. states and over 40 U.S. National Parks)! I enjoy working with students, getting to know them, and helping them succeed in all aspects of their life! I look forward to meeting all of you, learning your "fun fact," and what goals you hope to accomplish during and after your time at GCC.
