A Consortium Agreement allows eligible students who are enrolled at both Glendale Community College (GCC) and another college during the same semester to have their combined enrollment considered when determining financial aid eligibility.

When to Submit Your Consortium Agreement

  • Consortium Agreements are accepted after GCC's Financial Aid census date for the applicable semester.
  • Consortium Agreements are approved for one semester at a time and are not processed retroactively.
  • Your completed Consortium Agreement and current proof of enrollment must be received by the Financial Aid Office before the last day of the semester for which you are requesting financial aid consideration.

How to Complete a Consortium Agreement

Select the Consortium Agreement for the academic year and term for which you are requesting financial aid. You can find the available applications in the Quick Links section on the right side of this page.

Before completing the application, make sure you:

  • Are enrolled in a degree or eligible certificate program at GCC.
  • Will be enrolled in at least 6 units at GCC during the semester covered by the agreement.
  • Are not currently on a Financial Aid Academic Contract. Students on an Academic Contract are not eligible for a Consortium Agreement.

Complete Section I - Student Information of the Consortium Agreement.

Be sure to:

  • Enter your GCC student ID and secondary college student ID (if applicable).
  • Select the correct semester.
  • List each course you will be taking at the secondary college.
  • Sign and date the student certification acknowledging the requirements of the Consortium Agreement.

Schedule an appointment with a GCC Academic Counselor.

Your counselor will:

  • Review the courses you plan to take at the secondary college.
  • Verify that the courses apply toward your GCC educational goal.
  • Complete Section II of the Consortium Agreement.
  • Sign the form.

Take the Consortium Agreement to the Financial Aid Office at the secondary college.

The secondary college will complete Section III by:

  • Verifying your enrollment.
  • Indicating whether you will receive financial aid from their institution.
  • Completing and signing their portion of the agreement.

A current proof of enrollment from the secondary college must be submitted with your Consortium Agreement. Your proof of enrollment must:

  • Show the courses you are enrolled in at the secondary college for the applicable semester.
  • Be dated within seven (7) days of submitting your Consortium Agreement.

After completing your coursework at the secondary college, make sure an official transcript is sent to GCC. Failure to submit an official transcript may delay future financial aid disbursements.

After all required sections have been completed, submit:

  • Your completed Consortium Agreement
  • Your current proof of enrollment from the secondary college

Select Submit Your Form in the Quick Links section on the right side of this page to upload your documents for review.
