A Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Appeal is for students who are no longer meeting the Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress standards. This may occur if your cumulative:

  • Grade Point Average (GPA) falls below 2.00, and/or

  • Pace of Completion falls below 66.67%.

Students who do not meet these standards are not eligible to receive financial aid unless eligibility is reinstated through an approved appeal or by meeting SAP standards in a future term.

If circumstances beyond your control affected your academic performance, you may submit a Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Appeal.

How to Complete Your Appeal

Use the Student Forms Login link in the Quick Links box on the right side of this page to access Student Forms.

  • Log in using only your student ID number. Do not include "GCCS\" before your student ID number (example: use username, not GCCS\username).
  • If you are having issues logging into the GCC Portal, please contact the Help Desk at 818-240-1000 x4357 for assistance.
