Rising Scholars

The Rising Scholars Program is designed to create a pathway into higher education for formerly incarcerated, reentry, and system impacted individuals by addressing students’ academic and social needs.

We challenge stigmas associated with incarceration and provide a safe space where students can network, learn how to navigate the educational system, and develop the necessary skills to thrive in college.

The program also helps connect students to on and off campus resources as needed and provides workshops and group meetings where Rising Scholars gather and share experience, connect with their peers, and find support.
