Nursing Application Information

 

Generic RN

This application is only available to those who have never been enrolled in a Registered Nursing (RN) Program. Applications will be accepted once a year, but cohorts will be selected twice a year, for every Summer/Fall and Winter/Spring

Career Ladder (LVN-RN)

This application is for licensed LVNs who would like to obtain their RN license.

Foreign Nurse Graduate (FNG)

This application is for students who completed their nursing education outside of the United States and were advised by the California Board of Registered Nursing that they will need to take individual courses to be eligible for RN licensure.

RN Program Transfer

This application is for students who were previously enrolled in an RN Program and would like to continue their RN education at Glendale Community College.

  • Government Issued Photo ID
    Acceptable forms of verification:
    • Driver's License
    • State ID
    • Passport

  • Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN)
    Acceptable forms of verification:
    • SSN/ITIN card
    • W-2 form
    • Most recent tax return

  • Official transcripts from ALL colleges
    • ATTENTION: DO NOT SEND TRANSCRIPTS TO ADMISSIONS & RECORDS. Plan ahead as transcripts can take 3+ weeks to be processed

  • Proof of completion of high school (or equivalent) if no college degree (AA/AS, BA/BS) is posted on your transcript

  • Course Syllabus (not course description) if prerequisites were taken at a private ollege/university, outside of California, or outside of the United States

  • Transcript Evaluation if college or high school was completed outside of the United States. GCC accepts evaluations from the following:
    • World Education Services, Inc. www.wes.org 212-966-6311
    • International Education Research Foundation www.ierf.org 310-966-6311

  • AP CollegeBoard Transcript if using AP credit for English 101, Psychology 101, or Math
    • Plan ahead as transcripts can take 6+ weeks to be processed
    • Request to have transcripts mailed to you, but do not open them, otherwise they will be considered unofficial. Include official transcripts with your application packet

  • Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty (DD-214) if you are a veteran of the US Armed Forces

Please note that it is not an application requirement to meet with an Academic Couselor.
