PLEASE NOTE:   If you were already on a path to a Media Arts degree or certificate prior to Fall of 2024, no worries!   The previous degree requirements won't change for you.

You don't have to, it just makes it easier if you do since the classes are developed to build on the previous classes and since certain classes have prerequisites.

The prerequisite is occasionally waived if the student can provide documentary evidence that they have the experience that would be equivalent to the technical, aesthetic and procedural information that the prerequisite includes in that curriculum.   For instance, having worked professionally in the media industry, or having taken an equivalent media arts classes at another college might allow us to waive the FTVM 132 Introduction to Film Production Class prerequisite for the FTVM 139 Editing class.

Our class times may change semester to semester. Check the following semester to see if the days of the week or time slots have shifted to better suits your schedule.

There are several reasons classes aren't offered every semester. The subject matter may be  too specific to achieve enrollment every semester or it might be a less necessary class for most degrees.
