State regulations require students who are placed on academic and/or progress probation for two or more consecutive primary semesters to lose Enrollment Priority and California College Promise Grant (CCPG) eligibility until they regain satisfactory academic standing or an approved appeal is granted. Students who have documented extenuating circumstances may submit a Loss of Enrollment Priority and/or California College Promise Grant (CCPG) Appeal.

April 27, 2026 – May 29, 2026 (by the close of business)

 

How to Submit Your Appeal

Provide your:

  • GCC student ID
  • Name
  • GCC email address
  • Phone number
  • Major (course of study)
  • Semester you are appealing

Check the box(es) that apply to your situation. Common appeal reasons include:

  • Verified disability accommodations were not provided in a timely manner.
  • Extenuating circumstances such as illness, accident, or other significant events beyond your control.
  • Other qualifying circumstances described on the form.

Important: You must provide supporting documentation for every reason you select. Incomplete forms will be denied.

Include documentation that supports your appeal, such as:

  • Medical records or doctor's notes
  • Documentation from DSPS
  • Police reports
  • Court documents
  • Other official records related to your circumstances

Some appeal reasons require signatures from college staff (such as DSPS or other campus offices). Make sure all required signatures are obtained before submitting your appeal.

Sign and date the form, then submit it by the published deadline.

  • Email the completed appeal to the Admissions and Records Office: ARDocs@glendale.edu by the published deadline.
  • Approved appeals will have the registration hold removed from the student portal within approximately 72 hours (excluding weekends and holidays).
  • Refer to the Admissions and Records for current office hours and additional submission information.
